The Object of our Society is Patriotic, Historical and Educational: to research the history and deeds of the American colonists, and to record and publish them; to commemorate deeds of colonial interest; to inculcate and foster love of the United States of America and its institutions by all its residents; and to obey its laws and venerate its flag, the emblem of its power and civic righteousness.
Encourages public interest in the early history of the nation; fosters its teaching, and suggests projects to develop and sustain a love of the United States of America and its institutions.
Marks places or events of historical significance prior to 1900 and graves of deceased members; and to encourage chapters and state societies to place markers of historical significance.
Education is stressed through scholarships; which are awarded by the National Society, State Societies, and Chapters at a number of other schools and colleges.
